Question What are the top 10 longboard companies/brands?

I don't care about quality, preference, looks, performance, or any of that. I've spent the last week trying to find some--ANY--citeable reference listing this information:

By SALES (or market cap, or annual revenue, or any other documentable criteria), what are the 10 biggest longboard (not skateboard) companies (in CA, the US, the world, I don't really care)?

This is a wide open question, but I cannot for the life of me find any academic or published information to answer it!

THANK YOU in advance, you are a savior...a gentleman and a scholar!

    I'm thinking:
    Sector 9
    Loaded
    Landyachtz
    Arbor

    and generic brands:
    Pure
    GFH
    Airwalk
    ???

These are the best results I can find thusfar, but no numbers. Without a reference for some kind of data, my stipulations are meaningless.

Gravity is a big company, Rayne is a somewhat large company, orangatang and ABEC11 too (ABEC11 technically does have boards out, just gotta find them, but of course they're more for wheels).

aren't S9 and Arbor under the same roof?

I'd throw Gravity in there with their acquisition of Randal and Krypto (I think) Most longboard companies are pretty small, Comet and Rayne are examples of seemingly small healthy companies I guess Earthwing and Bustin can also be throw in there Kebbek and Fullbag too. After that you get into the more exotic small companies

As far as I know, most longboard companies aren't public except for billabong (sector 9 right?). They shouldn't release that kind of information. I'm not sure if this is exactly true but thats what I gather from what I know about economy. Please correct me if I'm wrong

I've been able to find that Sector 9 does $11.6M revenue per year, and Loaded does $444K. None of the other companies seem to be in the databases I'm using.

EDIT: I found a more accurate database and updated numbers.

    Gravity does $2.072M per year.

Can you guys keep throwing me names? I guess I can look them all up one at a time and then order them to get a list.

A posted list would be the easiest way for everyone though :-/

    What databases are you using?

    Try:

    Business Source Complete
    ABI/Inform
    Hoover's Company Records
    Lexis Nexis

And go to your library, ask a Reference Librarian (not a circulation clerk) for help. This is what they get paid to do.

Boutique brands that are popular on Silverfish aren't necessarily among the top brands, dollar-wise.

I thought I saw somewhere that kebbek had gone under.

in that case they shouldn't be included in this list.

are you serious? you put sector 9 at the top? absolutely not. orginal and loaded are by far at the top of this and then maybe sector 9

maybe in your eyes but in terms of dollars Sector 9 is well ahead of any other longboard company...... and that order is about right
