    Default Flipping Paris truck hangers?

I have a pair of Colten Paris 180mm and Normal Paris 180mm trucks.

I noticed the other day that you can flip the hangers on them, giving them a more shallow angle - thus making the board more stable.

I'm aware you can flip the hangers of a lot of trucks but it can ruin them over time - anybody know if it's OK to flip Paris truck hangers??

    -Thanks guys

I was just worried because when flipped the kingpin is at a different angle (obviously) but it comes into contact with the hanger during turns. You cannot hear it happen, but scratch marks develop.

the kingpin does not change angles when you flip the hanger... what you are hearing is the kingpin hitting the hanger, probably due to a bunch of slop from not shimming the bottom bushing.

flipping them feels like **** anyways...

Why would you want to flip your hangers? They feel horrible like that.

Flipping Paris' does nothing but change which bushing seat is on the top or bottom. The axles are in line with the pivot therefore the angle doesn't change, unlike a Randal which has an offset axle and flipping them does change the angel.

It's safe, but it doesn't do anything other than change which bushing seat is where. If you don't shim the bushing/hangar up so the geometry matches up again, it creates slop because only part of the bushing is in contact with the hanger (unless you crank down the kingpin nut...).
