    Default Most durable shoes?

    Cheers,

My shoe soles wear out extremely fast. Like a month and a half, and I'm toes to the ground. It comes from all the foot braking. I would not mind if skate shoes were cheap, but where I come from a pair of decent looking skate shoes go for 100 USD minimum.

I guess I could glue parts of a tire to my shoes or something like that, but it would look terribly ghetto.

What shoes have the most durable soles in your experience? Are there shoes out there designed for the wear put on them by foot braking?

Get some adidas shoes with the Superstar soles. They wear much better than skate shoes, and should be cheaper, too.

    They're 149USD

I guess getting cheap shoes in Norway is a dream never to come true, so if it is a durable model I will save money in the long term.

my route is to go to payless, and buy $25 skate shoes.
they're pretty comfortable, and as long as they last 1/4 as long as a pair of more expensive shoes(and they do), i make out on top.

I buy most of my shoes on sale from www.beckersurf.com usually end up at half the price of Norwegian prices if you buy 2 pairs on sale
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

I was a payless today. And got some Skate shoes for 30 dollars.
They are comfy, look decent. And a couple years out of fashion, just the way i like it.

My last pair from payless, Lasted my years and years.

Looks dont really matter, the car tire works amazing for footbreaking, and you save tons of money by not buying shoes all the time.

I got a great pair of Lakai's they held up for 6 months now or so, good shoes, just a little wear from the breaking but not much, but my Fallens have held up for over a year now and still look great! Try some Fallens, some shops like CCS put them on sale:

I have had the pair of Vans Half Cabs that I am currently wearing and skating in for over 4 months now, and the soles are holding up quite well. The only part that is giving away is the heels inside. Other than that, they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, after my Osiris D3s. They are relativly cheap to.

Thumbs up Re: Most durable shoes?

Vortex, look up Rick Wilson, who posts on this site. He's known recently for his GPS wheels, but he makes and sells "footbraking soles" that are poured in a custom Goodyear rubber, just for luge guys that have to footbrake from way over 88kph all the time. I've seen his shoes leave a trail of blue smoke, but not be melted out. The idea is that you glue the soles on your shoe of choice.

Now one more thing: as Chris Chaput (happy birthday, Chapstick! 4/11) taught us all with his de-laminated breaking soles in the '05 Top Challenge, ensure you glue them on well.

I've had some ipaths for about 6 months and the soles are starting to rip on the back. I also have a pair of fallens that ive had for more than a year. Soles don't have much noticeable wear. I had some addidas that i grew out of and those didn't wear very fast either.

Go to your local thrift store and buy a crappy pair of shoes for 5 dollars. If they wear out, it isn't like you spent much money on them anyway.
