First Board
Hello. I am new to the longboarding world and I have been tempted to get my first board. I'm not shure what board to get though. I plan to do some cruising, carving, tricks, and the occasional hill bombing. I know that there isnt a board for all of these but i would like to hear some opinions on what i should get.
I dont want to go too expensive either, 250$ is about my tops.

WElcome to the fish!
The Supercharger would indeed be a fine choice.
What is your terrain like? flat, hills, mountain roads
Used can be a great way to go.

A shorter wheelbase is more agile, a longer wheelbase is more stable?
Trucks to match width of deck. Good examples are Randal, Paris, Bear, Tracker, Indy.
70mm wheels will be fine for most topmount decks.

Re: First Board
Dude, Comet FSM.
Best board all around and its in your price range.
Setup:

Purple 4 pres, and Bones Reds/Biltins.
Can't beat it.

Re: First Board
if you want sliding i say get the FSM with lemon zigzags. but if you ever want to go down those big hills in your area and maybe do a little less tiger claws and more sliding. get the FSM with randals and lemons

The FSM is a stiff deck, but with a nose and tail that allow for manuals etc. It will excel at sliding/drifting.

Stiffer decks are preferred for downhill because they are more stable than a flexy board and less prone to speed wobbles.

You have the option of choosing flushmount (comments) which will both stiffen the deck for DH and give you a smooth nose/tail for tricks.

what exactly is a flush mount?

The bottom of the deck is routered deep enough to fit flush (or close to it with the baseplate's.)
It drops the deck while retaining stiffness/torsional flex, and a clean nose/tail for manuals.
