    I made mine, out off perspex. After putting a test piece in the oven to get the temp and time needed to get it malleable enough. I cut the basic shape out, got it hot, bent it around the lid holding until cooled, and then cut it more accurate. Ive held it on with elastic like MX goggles. Worked well until it shattered in a million pieces when a board landed on it in the back off the car. So dont make one out off perspex its ####. I'm gonna try again using a motorbike lid visor as my starting point.

    use polycarbonate, 1/32" thick about if you're just gonna let it bend to the shape, 1/16" if you're gonna drop mold it.

    check ben franklin on the island. go to the scrapbook section and look for picture cover sheets or ask some old lady to help you and they have a three pack of .020 sheets for like $8. they are really easy to cut only downside is that they scratch kinda easy. if you have any other questions pm me.

    Yeah I saw the charly visor but 50 bucks is way too much. Also I live on the big island so I dont know if they have the sheets, they might though. Are they really flimsy

    Id take the charly visor.
    I dont like poly for a visor,... it scratches, and is crap to look thru anyway. Plus it will cave in if you crash and tangle with someone.

    I also think a flippable visor is 10x better than a fixed one. So whether you go with the DIY or the charly,... try to make it flippable.

    My homemade visor for my remedy is fully flipable and stays up also, I should post a thread for those who have remedy's. The idea for my flippable visor is pretty simple too and could be adapted to different helmet designs i would think.

    Hey Tyler, if your in san antonio you can go to regal plastics on rittiman rd, right next to the Thad Zieglar glass company. They are like a plastic warehouse and have tons of scrap, I bought a 1/16" 5'x2' peiece of lexan for 3 dollars.

    who said no limit visor will fit drop?
    no, it does not. you gotta do some modification for it to work properly.

    @tyler
    go look around your area, search for makrolon.

    I believe it needs a new threaded bolt hole higher up than the one already on the Bell.
    .... yeah Im sure it kind of requires some know-how and some research.

    most likely lower, but i dunno.
    i'll wait until i can get the screws, and i'm gonna drill mah helmet.

    i have an idea on how to block the small opening between the visor & helmet, but it will reduce visibility a little bit.

    meh, it might be worth it.

    if you don't want it to be flippable, grab the polycarb. it's easier, and lesser PITA.
