    Default Globe longboards (Help)

Sorry if this is the wrong section. I'm new here and was reffered this site by someone, he told me you guys could probably help me out. I'm actually a skater and I'm thinking of buying a longboard but my problem is I know close to nothing about longboards.

So like I said I was thinking about buying a longboard and almost bought one (Sector 9) but one of my friend works at a shop and she can get me 40% off on Globe longboard. I was only wondering about the quality of those.
I don't intend to do some hardass hill bombing it's just to ride around college and drop a few little hills here and there.
So I'm basicly asking if those boards are of good quality for someone of my level (I skate and I rode a longboard before so It's not like I'm a total newbie but I'm far from being pro) and because 40% off would be a releif for my wallet.

    Thank you

**Oh and mods don't hesitate to move this if this is in the wrong section

If your just using them for cruising, I would say that they would be fine. Just maybe put on some randall or paris trucks so you can turn better.

Their quality will be awful, but if its cheap its cheap.
I'd suggest buying new bearings for it at the least.

I have ridden a globe comblete for alittle while. The deck was OK but the trucks and wheels were really bad. but if you get it cheap you can replace the trucks or atleast the bushings
