Default Is there really a difference in the mixing of parts?

    No real difference is there?
I was browsing through switchbacklongboards.com and when you look at a certain deck, they ask you for all the parts you want. I'm thinking of getting a cruiser board.

Say I got a Landyachtz Wedge Pinner, and I gave it Seismic 180mm trucks, Sector 9 Race Formula 74mm 80a wheels and Lucky Abec 7 bearings.

IS there a difference if I put trucks A on a deck #1, than putting trucks B on the same deck? Compatibility? bad mix-up's? Gullwings on a Loaded dervish instead of Randals??

I don't even know how to explain my confusion properly.

    What if I did:
    Landyachtz Totem
    Abec11 Grippins
    Original S6 trucks
    Bones REDS bearings

anything bad about the mix of parts?

some things just dont go well together or fit properly.. like 83mm wheels on a top mount, but it is really all preference.
try all different combos, thats half the fun.
see what you like the best, then ride the snot out of it.

Personal responsibility for one's choices is dead and buried, even in something as simple as a plank with four wheels.

    pete..Having a board doesn't make you a longboarder-riding it does.

The sizing is the main issue. And occasionally the bolt pattern which may be 'old school' or 'new school' on either the deck or trucks. Many have both.

    But generally they're all compatible.

I would probably look at the completes they offer and write down the different sizings they have for it. Then you can choose your own parts, but still have an idea of what size you need to pick to ensure you don't get any wheelbite and whatnot.
