Default bennett hangers too thick for my wheels?

I want to run retro bertz wheels on my bennett 5.0s and when i put the wheel on the axle, it won't spin. bertz have the hubs like flashbacks do, side set, but still toward the middle about a centimeter. because of this, the inner wheel rubs against the thick square axel and won't spin.

has anybody ever had this problem before? i searched and there weren't any posts about it. do i need new wheels or what?

i imagine most wheels work with these trucks since i searched the fish and there were no other posts involving thickness of bennett hangers

i just don't think i'll be able to return these wheels and i would hate to buy a new set just because of this....

Yeah, especially in the old days ('70's) when wheels were smaller. Trade or sell the Berts and get some 62mm 'gators. They are better wheels anyhow.

maybe try spacing it away from the hanger with a speed ring or two...

Don't you worry your pretty stripped head we're gonna get you back to Tyson and your cozy tiger bed.
And then we're gonna find our bestfriend Doug and then we're gonna give him a bestfriend hug.

do you think that zigzags would work? I love alligatos and I have them on my other board but I want to try a different wheel.
