Question I'm planning on a new deck for just transport

I recently got a longboard for free from my friend who doesn't use it anymore. It's a 32'' pintail with good trucks, bearings, and wheels. The problem lies in the shoddy off brand deck. While it's ok for now it's quickly wearing and I believe it prudent to replace it.

As an urban youth in my late teens I don't really like driving all that much (plus longboarding is SO much cooler). My question is, what would be a good deck almost exclusively for travel in pretty flat urban areas with maybe the occasional hill?
btw I'm trying to avoid S9, because I'm so tired of seeing them.
    thanks!

A 40 something inch. I stick by Landyachtz and Never Summer. Flexy as well. Look at their sites, they may have boards sorted by these critieria,

Earthwing superglider. It is stable, so it can handle the occasional hills you hit up. It has a small nose, a kicktail, and some concave. It pretty cheap too.

Because I have never seen a man can stand slide smoothly in slowly speed without Orangatang.

mid teens... anyways I second the landyachtz notion. I just got my drop carve and it sounds like it would be perfect for what you want, it's quite versatile and it's drop through which makes pushing easier.

Bustin Strike or Spliff might be a good choice. I also would recommend Earthwing's Superglider and Super Charger.

I own both the Strike and Super Charger and love them.

many threads on this - search commuter if u want- i have a boomerang with r2 180/50 red stock bushings and lime big zigs- its awesome but high for pushing cause top mount and big wheels

look at rayne hustler or others
    landy drop speed
subsonic reflex 38 or others on their site
    comet loki
    never summer
    legendary demon or knight

low is good for pushing so think about what trucks and how much flex u think u like and if u like tricks or just want to blast around fast and how much downhill is in your area without cars in your way-

i like big wheels but smaller ones have advantages to keep board lower and accelerate faster

wear all white at night and get a helmet

get one of the boards on this thread and you will probably get another one!

    have fun

Loaded pintail seems like a nice easy board to ride, not to long and not to short.
I dont have one but I have heard alot of people say some good things about it.

i would get a landyachtz spud. it is quite low to the ground so it is EXTREMELY easy to push and foot brake and holds a pretty good hill, and its also small to carry or put in a locker
