drop through?

can any truck be set up as a drop through mount or does it have to be a certain one? any advise would be helpful.

Most trucks will work drop through mounted. The biggest factor is the cutout in the deck, it may have to slightly modified to fit some baseplates.

Know what your intended deck and trucks are will get you a better answer. In short most DT decks are geared towards Bear, Paris, and Randal. If you're going to deviate from that I'd say it's going to be pretty much a case by case basis.

yeah i just found that the dirvish type deck i'm making is set for randal r-11 180's which are on my robert august longboard so i won't need to buy any at this point in time.
