New Board

Hi, I am a beginner who has never skated before. I just want a board for cruising around and to get me places. I'm not thinking of bombing big hills or anything much. I just want to use this as a form of transportation. I was wondering if this would be a good board for me:

What you have is not a bad choice but i highly recommend the link above

It's decent, but for $5 more, you get way better quality. Earthwing makes awesome stuff, and you'll have way more fun on that than the Sector9.

Yeah, you will dig the Superglider more, only thing is those wheels on the Superglider complete wont be the best for you starting out. i would recomend switching them out for Earthwing Smokers.

77a Drifters will probably do him just fine IMHO, they are soft enough to be great for cruising, enough grip for a beginner to carve as hard as he wants, and when he advances they'll be a nice wheel for whatever he wants to do. The Smokers are also more costly, if that is something to worry about.
