I don't know if there is an answer to this one. Here in Oklahoma it gets really hot as well, although, we've been fortunate this year. I usually ride with some Dickies pants on to avoid getting bad road rash when I fall, even though it means I'm hotter than I'd prefer. I fell on a corner last week with a short sleeve t-shirt on and have RR all over my right arm. I'm thinking of starting to ride with long sleeves when downhilling.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you want to protect yourself, you are going to have to sweat it out.
I'm looking forward to some milder weather myself.
