    Default Help Picking Comet Board??

Hey everybody, I'm new to the fish
Does anyone have any advice on whether a Comet FSMini or a Galaxy's Sleeves would be a better carving board? I've never ridden on a drop down board so I don't know the feel of it... would drop down make for better or worse carving? cus i know its whats good for speed. i ride an arbor fish now and i love it, but I'm looking for something shorter to just carve up the hills.. or would something shorter be even better, seeing that my arbor has a wb of 27.75" and those boards both got wb of 26"? someone please help me out wit this. also if anyone knows about the flex quality of the two boards it would be appreciated!

Neither deck has a Drop Platform if that's what you mean. The Rocker of the FSM kind of gives it the feel of Drop Platform though. The FSM IMO would be better for carving. It has more aggressive concave, and the Rocker distributes more of the weight towards the wheels which adds to your leverage on the wheels. The Rocker also gives slight wedging (only a few degrees,) but it will allow you to turn slightly better. FSM is the best freeride deck on the marked IMO. Can't go wrong.

oh fer sure btw when i said drop i thought i was referrin to the large cutout allowin the trucks to be mounted on top of the board... i gues i shoulda said topmount haha. i dont know what you mean by rocker, but i see how that board could give more leverage in turns, which is definitely what i would like. thanks dudes

oh you say get the flush mount? why wouldn't i want to get the drop through? wouldnt drop through give more leverage in the turns and carve more? whats the diff between the two?

The flush mount actually gives more leverage for carves. A drop through would give more leverage for standup slides and the likes. If you want a nimble turner i'd say get the flush mount.
