Narrowing my options (first longboard)
Hi,
I've been doing research for about two weeks now, and I've narrowed my choices to a couple of longboards.
Widerglider
Indy 169's
EW Smokers 70mm/83a or RRage 66mm/83a
Bones Reds
Bones yellow/med or blu/soft bushings
People seem to love this board; however, someone said that it wasn't very flexy, which turned me off of it a bit. I also don't particularly care for the look/style of the board. I don't mind the graphic at all, it's just the design of the deck.
Kracked Skulls Scimitar 38"
Randal RII 180s
BigZigs 75mm/80a
OUST Moc7's (I heard that the Abec 5's are pretty bad)
Stock bushings
This was my original choice. But after looking around and watching some videos, it looks a bit low for me and almost boring to carve compared to the Apex 37. It is, however, quite cheap. KS owners, how are the bushings that this board comes with? And do you need to put your own grip on, or does it come with it?
Apex 37
Original S8's
ZigZags 70mm/78a
Cell Swiss bearings
This is the one that I really like. However, it's out of stock.
I'll be using the boards for cruising and carving, mainly. I'd like a good amount of flex. I'm 6'3" and 140lbs, if that helps.
I would have already ordered the Apex, but they're out of them. I figured instead of just waiting, I'll see what you guys think of the other options.
Should I wait for the Apex to come in stock, or should I bite the bullet and just grab one of the other two? I wouldn't mind waiting a week to get it, but I don't want to wait a month. =/
Thanks in advance.

Widerglider regardless of whether or not you could get the Original shipped to you in 2 days. That setup is killer, and it's killer for someone that's even an experienced rider. You can't go wrong.

Re: Narrowing my options (first longboard)
Honestly I think you'll probably enjoy the original. Their trucks give a different enough ride that it'll feel pretty special right off the bat. I'd email them and see how long their wait for restock is. I paid the extra for next day shipping and it got to my doorstep within 14 hours of ordering it, so I'm perfectly happy with their service.
I'm not familiar with the flex on that board but judging by at least one flexy board of theirs it should feel fun, I'd recommend an original to anyone who doesn't intend to use it for high speed, cruising and carving is what they're best at.
The S8s are a good choice, if it can fit Big Zigs go for it, I am a big fan of BigZ.

Re: Narrowing my options (first longboard)
Superglider is in stock and a great ride. If you want a bit more flex get the Supercharger.
Apex is out of stock ....
doesn't seem like a hard decision to me.....
