Where can I find Bamboo?

I like making longboards and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I could buy bamboo.

I bet you could just find regular wild bamboo, soak it, crush it, glue it with titebond3 and press it. I know 3 places on the side of the road around here to collect wild bamboo.

I'd imagine you could build a jig to press it in, like a large, flat wooden tray with a smaller, reinforced inner lid, then park a car on top of it over the weekend.

Then just fiberglass it real good on both sides.

Be a lot of work, but it'd be worth it if you landed killer results.

If I wasn't lazy, I'd try it.
