Sidewinders or Originals

I want some good trucks for sidewalk surfing, which do i pick. And if i got sidewinders i would buy venom eliminantor bushings

I really would not suggest either. Sidewinders are very high off the ground. Originals feel like no other truck on the market. IMO originals are way to tippy. Just get some paris' with soft venom bushings.

Sidewinders sit extremely high, and they're really don't have much of an advantage over conventionals other than a slightly different feel.
Originals are just damn awesome.

So much hate for sidewinders. They're a unique truck. Go down to a skate shop and try 'em out if you can. SUUUUPER turny, makes sense for sidewalk surfing.

let me break it down to you so you can better choose:

Originals are like getting sucked of by a very old woman, no wants that to happen.

while sidewinders are like getting sucked off by a "hot chick" to later find out it was really a dude. It was fun while it lasted but turned out making you have to go to therapy.

So the choice is yours.... kidding aside. i would not recommended either of them. but if you had to chose one, i would go with sidewinders. And if you dont like them you can take out the middle part and have an OK truck.

but remember you thought the dude was a hot chick. So therefore naturally you would go for the hot chick.

And i just reread the op, and elims all around? damn $40 for a set of bushings. hahahahaha

EDIT: since everyone else is throwing around ideas. You cant go wrong with hybrid 215's

I love my Originals and disagree that they would be a poor choice for sidewalk surfing.

I found that my supercharger with S8's and black springs made a fun sidewalk surfer even on a crowded campus. I will tell you that getting used to them, especially with black springs, can be tough at first but its really rewarding because nothing feels like them.

If you are looking at Originals which truck you get depends on the size of your deck. With a short deck I'd go S6's and with a longer one I'd go with S8's. Black springs for flatland and reds for any reasonable sized hill.

My buddy has those on his NS Descent and it doesn't feel "surfy" at all. It will carve sure, and carve well but it isn't surfy or super agile.

my two cents- dont get eliminators for the sidewinders. defeats the purpose of having limitless lean.. stick with cones or barrels at the most

or instead of buying hybrids so that you can use larger bushings.. go to your hardware store and buy a couple of 3/8th half inch long grade 8 bolts. then take a claw hammer and knock out the old kingpins on a set of 215s, then gorilla glue the new ones in. use your bushings and nut to "clamp" it while the glue dries. and what do you know, indy 215s that can take double barrel bushings, and feels wonderful.
