How to continue sliding
hello,
i have a gravity PS 35 inches and some stimulus and crail trucks
i rode yesterday with my friend, he has a vanguard.
but when he does a stand up 180, he gets to 90 degrees and continue sliding then after some seconds he completes the 180,
the thing is i cant do that!!
i only do the 180 i cant continue it in the midle, like a realy long powerslide like my friend does.
and what trucks are really good for turning?

Vary your weight between your front and back foot, more weight on one set of wheels=more friction on those wheels, which will allow you to control your slide.
50 degree Randals and Parises are good for turning, but bushings effect turning a lot more than trucks. I'm not going to lie, crails are a pretty weird truck that aren't too good anything besides DH.

Re: How to continue sliding
weird setup?
lol, here things are expensive, so i got the most low price truck, the crail one
why is it weird?
dude, small boards with big wheels ftw, in brazil we all skate that way,
and we can do some 2 meter high fs air on a snake run

Re: How to continue sliding
Just everything about them. The small pivot, weird bushings, and baseplate design that makes them tough to mount on a dropthru.

replace the bushings, and mod the cutouts of your board or just topmount them
modding the cutouts takes all of ten minutes, and everyone is replacing the bushing nowadays anyways
the small pivot isn't a bad thing..

so whats a good truck?

Re: How to continue sliding
Once you get to 90* lean back and weight the rear wheels again. All four wheels will break free and you can unweight the rear wheels and push it the rest of the way whenever you want.

Re: How to continue sliding
if you can already stand up slide to a stop, its just a matter of incorporating that into the 180. if you cant, then go learn yourself.
