Re: Help with Demonseed setup
I wouldn't bother with ceramics. I like the comfort of not being afraid to trash my bearings. They're a one of the few really cheap parts of boards that you can replace easily.
Crails ARE awesome... Great axles, and confidence inspiring. but yea, go ahead and stick with what you know you like. You can always try them later.
I might have to try out some Speedvents when I get a DH setup back.

Re: Help with Demonseed setup
The steel 10mm landyatchz bearings and generic spacers.
At the top of a hill at a very rapid speed there's only one place to go.
At the top of a hill at a very high speed there's nowhere to go but down.

Re: Help with Demonseed setup
i got lucky and found my 85mm purple speedvents here on the fish for $55 used. the little imperfection rubber form the mold had not even been worn off. i have them setup on my cindrich 3P with indy 215s. no bending so far, cross my fingers. had it like that for about two months. just pick up some nicer, but cheap bearings. MHS, Rush, Reds, that sort. i have never ridden bilitns, so i can chime in there.

That sounds mean... Makes me want one myself.

iguess that just makes it more stable at the back and give the turning to the front

not at all. it feels awesome.
just gotta play around with yer bushings. anything stock is probably going to feel weird. you're going to need a harder duro for the back.. the lower angle BP increases leverage on the bushings, so the same duro bushing will "feel" softer
only thing about split baseplates is it's gonna feel weird if you ride switch

Re: Help with Demonseed setup
Guys, what do you thnk about the following setup? t's already on its way as specfied below, but just making sure in case this setup will not work out well so i can get other parts
Demonseed, Randall RII180, 42 degree base plates, Orangatang purple inHeats, bombsquad noseguard.
I'm thinking of drop through mounting, will this cause hangar bite because of the 42 baseplates? Anyone have 42 degree RII's mounted drop through on a dseed?
plywoodpusher
Rayne for speed, Loaded for cruising and Hosoi for all the rest.

Not sure about the Randals and hanger bite. But drop-through with 75mm wheels is EXTREMELY low
