Just out of curiosity do you have sabre's? I just got mine yesterday and due to bad weather haven't gotten a chance to ride them. Also I would E-mail Rayne about sabre BP's fitting the drop-through cutouts. I had to sand my Velocity's cutouts for about 2 hours to fit correctly.

I just checked out Rayne's website and DBS to check how they sell completes. Options are both RII's 180mm with 50 or 42 degree baseplates, and inHeats are also one of the options for the complete on both sites.

They don's show pics of a complete mounted one, so I guess I'm gonna have to try it. I also have a decent stock of RII 50 degree plates so I'll try dropping the 42, if too low, the 50 if still too low, topmount. I like drop through more for some reason, it's a different kind of hanging from feeling intead of on top of.

I'll let you guys know how it works out. Hope it does.

They look nice by the way and 190mm 42's sound good to me. Will consider it as my next set of trucks. Allthough the SZ's got me thinking SZ truck system

Those SV things look cool and all, but there not a company I've ever heard of. Not many reviews or anything. might just be some showy junk.

i beg to differ my friend... SZ or Surf-Rodz is an innovative company. Wayne, the owner, has background in skating/longboarding so he knows what riders want or need.

his products have received good reviews if you take the time to read them.

for more info check these links:

there are also threads here in silverfish which might be informative:

as for your inquiry on a demonseed set-up, randals are basic, you can't go wrong with them. upgrading bushings are optional but recommended (depending on your weight). wheels, freeride wheels like the otangs or retros would be fun. slidey and driftey.

    good luck!

seems like a pretty old thread, but i have a demonseed incoming and i'm interested on new opinions/options on setting up a dseed. fill er up!

i actually ordered the dseed with bear 1040s & 83mm flys from LBS but i've got a pair of SZ 200mm waiting, i'm just afraid it would make the dseed too low.

will top mounting a demonseed make it's ride somewhat like the nemesis? sans the shorter wheelbase and wider deck?

yeah, probably top mount it. or if it feels right with the bear 1040s, the SZ are going to the lamby.

wtf, thats like saying "Hey if i topmount a Hellcat, will it be like an Avenger minus the Avenger's shorter wheelbase and different concave?"

The Demonseed and the Nemesis are two DIFFERENT boards.
