Ive decided im going to get the apex 37 just a few questions
Ive decided to get the Apex 37 over the s9 bullet now, OS said to get either the orange seismic hotspots 69mm 78a or the red retro zigzags 70mm 78a for free riding what do you think ?, also the cruiserweight says it's to suit 160lbs to 210lbs now im 191lbs on a light day and OS is saying to get the heavy weight ive herd that there boards become more flexy once they are worn in, has anyone got a heavy weight board that is around my weight and whats the flex like ?

Thanks FLEX
i'm 195lbs, got the heavyweight. and it feels perfect. im happy i got this flex cause anything lower, would be too flexy for my preference.. for freeriding i'll get the limes. reds would be overkill.. limes are enough to cushion your weight on a rough pavement.

or dont get zig zags if you want to freeride. Slalom wheels are made to grip hence the square lip, if want to "freeride" then get something with a more rounded lip. I know original offers abec11 flashbacks for sale those are great wheels and a ton of fun once youve broken them in. Youd be all set with the 78a or 81a durometer ones. Those would give you a good balance of grip and slide. Also check out the sayshun o+ plasma wheel, my friends got a set and theyre super fun. Definitely got some grip but theyre not hard to push out when you want to.

hah, just got done skating for 4 hours on my apex, i'm 220 and am riding the heavyweight, it really has a nice almost unnoticeable flex for me, I don't like to feel like i'm bouncing, for me i feel like the HW flex, just sorta evens out the camber when i'm turning and absorbs any cracks in the road, it doesn't feel as flexy as say a dervish and wasn't nearly as flexible as i thought it would straight outta the box, but i do really feel the flex when coming out of sharp turns. i've ridden it with zigzags, but found them too grippy, and the board turns so sharp i was almost launching myself off, i really like to slide out my back wheels on turns with this board, so i've been riding flashbacks for about a month now, and i really love these wheels on this board, grippy, but, once broken, they will slide very nice and predictable. The only drawback to these wheels, is i have coned the hell out of them, in less than a month, and will probably switch them out before my next session I really like the apex for speedchecks, reverts, and short, drifty, standup turns, but I really don't like my apex as a sliding board, I can do coleman's and 360 slides on it, but don't really like the feel of it, and only do long slides, if i have to in order to stop. Anyways, from one bigger rider to another, i hope this helps a little, unless i'm going sliding, i ridden this board everytime i skate. Not really a downhill board, but, i do some pretty gnarly hills on this thing, and just carve the crap out of them also, i'm riding the red springs, and can take it comfortably to about 30 mph.
