    Default got opinion?

    Hey,

I'm an old school skater keen to get on a longboard and ride some hills, pathways etc.

I'm after something strong - i'm all grown up now - 6'1' and 200 pounds.

Digging the look and the reviews of the Landyachtz Evo, it looks to be a strong board right?

    Anything else come to mind?

    thanks guys

If youre looking for all around sturdyness, the evo would be the way to go. i think its 11 plys of maple, and this thing will not bend at all! its great for fast hills, the only drawback ive noticed is the wieght of the evo, its kinda heavy but a really great board overall. but you could also look into a bomb hills by sector9, its a pretty good all around board, much more versatile than the evo. its pretty big too, so it might fit your needs.

Honey skateboards are pretty stiff. I would go with the rogue or the amp. If you want a bigger board look at some of the DH boards that Rayne and Landyachtz have. Those are all pretty stiff and strong

The Bomb Hills is a sweet deck.

Rayne Hellcat is prolly the stiffest board i have ever ridden.

search the forum for what you want.

Any rayne board really is a good choice

I like simple shapes cut from marine ply, fiberglassed, and gripped; however, boards without concave don't bother me. Then again, I live in FL. I'm not doing 45+mph because the lack of hills.

OK. after much research on the forum i'm thinking the evo may not suit what i'm after - lots of pushing around, cruising etc

The Landyachtz Battle axe is looking good. anyone got opinions based on experience?

also, is it strong enough to handle me belting around on it all day? i'm 6'1' 200lbs

    thanks

I'd suggest taking a look at Soda Factory boards. They're -dead- sexy and apparently built like tanks, judging from what everyone else is saying. I'll be getting mine within the next couple of weeks.

The DeezNutz, Knuckleduster/Blackbird, Toecutter, and Bar Hopper would all be great for what you want. You could PM the guy who makes them (Rus) telling him your weight, and he could tell you e whether the boards would be good for you, and add some extra plies to strengthen the board if not.

I can't offer any suggestions for the Battle Axe, though, sorry.
