Longboarding Resources & Q/AGet or give friendly, patient answers to, "Which board should I get?", "How do I stop?" or "What's wedging and how do I do it?"
today i went to a mini ramp, and my friends have otangs 4 prez and inheat, and they did some sick layback slides on the wall of the miniramp, i tried and my wheel didnt slid and did not make any noise :S
why is that?
Lolololololol!!!!!!!! Spending time on SF asking these questions instead of going skateboarding and figuring out the solution to this problem might the issue at hand!

Agreed. Probably just a manufacturing defect that's specific to that set of wheels. Try buying new ones. If those don't work, try, try again...you'll get it eventually.

Yes, you've invited all dedicated helpers to swoop in with epiphanies, postulations and educated guesses spouted from the side of their necks. Take notes...
Take your wheels and buddies back to the park and let them have a go on your deck. That might tell you something.
I CAN SLIDE STIMULUS. ŽŽ
but they dont slide on the concrete!
i can slide with 4 pres and other grippy wheels, but no one can slide mine
and i mean really new, fresh, almost white concrete
they already HAD a go in my board, and no one slid them
edit:so, all that leads to a conclusion, grippy wheels like my friends(higrades, otangs 4 prez and inheat) slide in the concrete
but my freeride that should slide easier(it does in the street) cant slide on the concrete :S
Ok, letīs turn this around, say that the 86a Orangatang urethane and this fresh new concrete is a grippy combo, so what is the problem? What did you expect to hear, except the then obvious answer: use a different set of wheels?
my friends have 4 prez and inheat 83a, and hi grade, loose trucks as mine, same lenght(36 to 38)
and top mount with same trucks
i just dont get it, i think its because the grippy wheels grip and ungrip fast, making a loud noise and sliding, my wheels dont seem to grip ungrip they just, dont slide
