I've been riding skateboards for a while, but I was never any good at tricks, and after riding a friends shortboard, I decided longboarding would be something for me. I'm looking for something I could ride to school and friends houses in the spring and summer, both destinations a few miles away. There are also plenty of big hills along the way, but no room on either side to carve. So, I was thinking a bigger board would be the right choice since I'm not really weaving to much, but I'm not really sure.
Also, if I tightened my trucks to avoid the speed wobbles I'm so used to getting on my skateboard, would I lose all my ability to carve?
Thank you for the help.
EDIT: I've been looking at the Bustin Strike. I love the shape and the customizability, but I'm just not sure what the general consensus on this board is.
