truck mounting hardware
does anyone else have hardware that seems to loosen after a day of riding?
i bought the screws and lock-nuts at home depot, but it seems like they are loose enough that i can re-tighten them again. (they aren't washer rattling loose, but it does seem to make some noise down in the truck area, but still, my other board doesnt require me to retighten the truck's nuts.)
should i worry much or is that common?

Re: truck mounting hardware
yeah. i'm sure the ones i got are nylocks because i saw that they have the rubber thingy inside. hopefully using loctite 242, (red bottle, blue solution) will help.

Re: truck mounting hardware
are you tightening the bolts until you can't anymore by hand? i've found that if i tighten them as tight as i can, then back them off even the slightest amount, they come loose really quickly where as, tightening them completely, i can go weeks without having to even worry about checking them.

242 is awesome stuff. I use shock pads/rubber washers, so my hardware is rarely fully tight, but with new nylocks I don't notice any loosening over long sessions.

Re: truck mounting hardware
Hey, yeah, the same thing happens to me too. After I ride for a while the trucks become super loose and rattles a little if I jiggle it. I put some loctite on it too but it didn't help much, but maybe you'll have better luck than me.

after a somewhat hard riding, repetitive downhill doing small scrubbing speed checks (if it can be considered speed checking ), it seems to be holding now (hopefully). although i still notice some rattling noise coming from my board somewhere it might be my bearings . its not very intense rattling, but it might just be the pavement and the vibration
Oh ok. Just making sure.

Re: truck mounting hardware
I've lost hardware plenty of times.
I just recently started using Prime Lok Type 245 Blue formula, which is a thread locking fluid you drop on your threads (to those that haven't figured it out yet)
