Mongo/Goofy
So... I've done the whole stairs test and also the test where someone pushes you to see which is your dominant foot and for every test my right foor is the dominant one... so i should be riding with my right foot back, and left foot front... but i prefer riding with my right foot front and left foot back... also I ride mongo when I ride goofy but when i try to ride regular I push regular... so my question is... what should I do? should I keep riding goofy and just learn to push regular or should I ride regular and push regular?
any help is appreciated... im prety new to longboarding so yah :]

Re: Mongo/Goofy
Learn how to ride ride regular and goofy... Learn how to push normal and mongo for both stances.

Re: Mongo/Goofy
It's largely irrelevant. Once you're on a board you'll probably just decide what feels best to you.
More than that, like cannon I'm from the school of thought that you should be able to ride your board in any direction. So don't get hung up on it, it's really not the most significant detail.

i agree with cannon on that one. i cant even stand regular, so you are ahead of me.

Re: Mongo/Goofy
Yeah.
If you learn all the ways to ride a board, it will make you that much better. You can switch it up when your leg(s) get tired. I personally ride goofy the most, but I switch it up often. I kick goofy mongo when my left leg feels fatigued.
Learning how to ride switch will help you when you end up doing a trick or slide that lands you riding switch.
Kicking mongo in switch should be like kicking in your normal stance, disregarding foot positions. You are using the same legs until you mount the board completely.
I actually don't kick normal while riding regular. I prefer mongo when I switch for that vary reason.
