    Default How to Stop?

Whats the best and safest way to stop?

I know to run forward and off the board
Take it and carve it till the ground is flat
Go onto rougher terrain (ie grass, dirt)

Are there other ways? I usually try to carve it if not just run forward off the board

    Thanks!

Footbraking and colemans are the best ways to stop. Start off slow and work up until you are efficient at both.

Coleman slide is the sexyist safe way for a quick stop if you're going fast.
But make sure your super confident with maneuvering the board, and move your feet around the board comfortably, before you attempt it.

Foot stopping is good for when youre going pretty slowly.
You can also sit on your board, and use both your feet to slown pretty fast.
And of course airbreaking with your hands.
Or have a parachute! And do a jet fighter stop!

You can footbrake at high speed once you get efficient at it. Before I broke my ankle I was up to about 35mph footbraking. Now I cant footbrake at all because I am weak ankled and must slide to stop.

Remember that a good rule is not to jump off the board and run it if you're going faster than you can run under your own power or it'll hurt.. ALOT.
