    Default cutting corian

I got a bunch of corian samples to make some slide gloves and I want to cut them a certain way for the pucks... Do any of you have any experience cutting corian and do I need any special type of blade or would just using a cutting blade on a dremel be fine?

Scroll saw is the best (low speeds) and touch ups with a wheel grinder.

    It will be a mess.

coping saws have fairly fine teeth, and are designed to cut smooth and intricate.

Just another idea for you to think about: Corian is malleable at around 300 degrees fahrenheit if you want to play with heat molding a shape.

Yeah, use small teeth. Melting it doesn't turn out good all the time. Coping saw works too.

If you clamp it right, you could use a jigsaw.

You might go all cave man on it and use a chisel just isolate the area you are working on in a vice or something and go at it with a small hammer or some chisels. You get these things for free so it wouldn't hurt to try

well i took the tiles to my school to get some friends to cut them for me in shop and the teacher said he didn't have the right tool to cut corian with and at home my only options for cutting it would be a spring saw which obv. wouldn't work well and a dremel tool which i am unsure of.... the little blades for the dremel are so cheap it wont really hurt to just try it... wanted to ask people here because i know others have experience working on corian for the same reason as me and knee what worked for cutting it because the shop teacher maybe incorrect since he only works with wood ? and if that doesnt work #### it i will just make billions of cutting board pucks that will get replaced way more often
