what kind of board should i get?
this will be my first board.
i read the buyers guide.
and that gave me a general idea of what im looking for.
but im still not exactly sure.
im not sure which company and board i should check out and go with.
i want a board thats good for cruising. and the occasional carving.
so prolly a deck thats around 449 to 55 inches.
one thats flat.
one thats not TOO flexible. but flexible to make a turn when going down the street(like if im on one street, and i need to turn onto the next street. lol)
one thats made out of durable materials.
one with either a pintail, or a standard longboard shape.
one that rides comfortably.

idk why i hit post. i forgot to add in
"so does anyone know of any brands or boards that would suit me."

Re: what kind of board should i get?
449 inches? wow! also, a few of those things don't make sense, flexy enough to turn from one street to another? do you mean you want it to carve?

The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down..bowed down. But the edge is still out there.

and idk if its called curving. cuz im new to longboards,
i mean like. to turn.
i guess it would be called curving.
cuz from what i read. some longboards dont turn too well. i want one that can turn well.

Welcome to the fish!
The pintail is a classic and functional shape.
Pintails are offered by most builders, both large and small.
Do you have a length in mind?
How much flex do you want?
What is your weight?

thanks
i originally thought 49-57 inches.
but i measured that out and its really big on me(im 5'4")
so now im thinking 39 to 47 inches.
im not exactly sure how much flex i want. since im new to longboarding.
i guess i want a stiff board. since i road one when i was younger and i liked it.
and im 152 pounds.
edit:i guess i want a board thats good for downhill, carving, and just cruising.

If you dont mind a bit of flex a dervish should let you go down reasonable hills, carve and cruise. If carvings what you want to do mainly get a original

well i dont exactly know what a dervish is. lol
ive looked it up but i cant find out what it is. haha.
if its what i think it is, then thats not what i want.
(a board thats rectangular in shape. and then has bits that pop out of each end where the trucks are located)
and i dont really think i want flex.
and i dont really want to mainly carve, i wannt just a mixture of cruising and carving.
