Hi everyone, I'm new here. I started riding back in July and I love it. Though winter has finally arrived and the white stuff is staying on the ground the amazing part is it was clear the entire month of November and I was out every day (This is Canada people!) Anyhow, back to my question, Can I longboard during the winter when the streets are clear? Do I need to worry about the cold stiffening my board and causing it to crack or even snap? (It gets as cold as -30 celsius here) Last but not least if I don't need to worry about my board breaking on me what are some precautions I should take while going out at night? Since the roads that are clear in my city are also generally the busiest I'll have to do my riding in the dead of night. Obviously I'll wear my protective gear and a bright jacket but is there anything I should do differently from riding at night during the summer?

Other than that are there any other tips you can offer for a winter noob? I'd love to just go snowboarding but I lack the cash for all the gear. Anyhow, thanks ahead of time and an early Merry Christmas to you all!
