My little brother.

I have a 9 year old brother who is about 4' 8" and 55-60 lbs. and is really starting to like longboarding. He has been riding my Bustin Spliff and has tried my Dervish. He wants a board of his own and I'm not sure what to get him. I have been looking around and saw that someone had a 7 year old daughter and got her a Legendary Gnome and she loved it, so i have been looking at that. But i also saw the BC Moray (which i would love for myself) and I thought that it may be a good board as well because it's only 36".

If you can give me some input that would be awesome.

How about the flexdex mantis or rubber soul? The BC Moray is pretty cool as well. How much are you looking to spend?

fsmini. the critter's only fifty pounds so he could probably ride it until his highschool graduation. that and he wouldn't have to upgrade boards when his skills developed.

fsmini would be perfect for him. such a fun board set up right. im 6ft tall and have no problem with room on it, he could ride the thing forever.

You could try to get him one of the last Jailbaits.

I don't know if having a board that's a little big for him is such a bad thing. That way when he gets older he'll be able to throw it around like it's nothing.

the gnome's a good choice, as well as the fsmini
if you are getting it for him with his knowledge, he may prefer some of the customization available with the gnome. but you could always make your own choices for him.
so yea, either of those two...

fsmini with indy trucks and small wheels like otang fatfree. or even 66mm zigs because I doubt he will be doing any slidding. and like 74a abec 11 bushings. This way he will be able to turn its low and he can progress without getting a new board.
