go to Sk8kings.com, the Carasco's will set you up with everything you need for a "beginner" setup.

some ones to look at are:
    sk8kings axe series
fullbag makes some really good ones but i think they are a bit more expensive (not 100% sure on that)
    pocket pistols
    kebbek makes a few too.

    trucks:
    tracker rt-s rt-x
skandal (cut down randals by sk8kings)
    bennet 4.3
skennet (vut down bennet by sk8kings but it's a bit pricey)
small indy's make great front trucks too

    wheels
    65mm 80a or 83a zigzags
    seismic makes some solid ones
TINKERING WITH YOUR SETUP IS HALF THE FUN OF BOARDING.

tracker rt-s rt-x I run an RT-S rear, not too shabby.

    bennet 4.3
skennet (I run this in front, I <3 it x1,000,000)

I have a fullbag set up for slalom. you will NEED wedges, you can get away with not much front wedging, but many slalom boards have the mounting holes ON the kicktail, meaning the truck is naturally WEDGED (rather than dewedged) so you will need to first negate the kick THEN dewedge it further. Fullbag decks are kicked 5*

also, you will NEED bushings. the more bushings you buy the better, I use unused bushings as impromptu cones.

this is why all beginners should call sk8kings. the carascos know everything about slalom and will set you up with the perfect setup for you.

and buying a complete from them will save you time and wasted money on buying "the perfect bushing combo". these come ready to shred and from there you can make little purchases to personalize/tune it. they take everything into account (weight and such) and match you with a great deck/trucks/wheels/bushings. everything you need to get wiggling.

Thanks guys I am going for the axe Maximus from sk8kings with a bennett frony and a rts rear and just the stock 70mm zig zgs. Does that setup sound OK.
