Default Chopping the Bomb Hills help

Okay I know there are a lot of threads about the BH, but I have a few questions that I failed to read, and I read a lot. So I'm sorry if its been answered before.

Sanded already so now I'm trying to figure out what shape I want. I know people mount the rear trucks in a way that the front holes are the rear and I just redrill two more for the other screws. My question is what happens to the front trucks? I've seen a lot of pictures and I can't seem to figure out where the wheel wells go. Or am I actually looking at a race and not a hills?

Here's an example. Not mine. Thank you in advance to everyone who replies!

Well most of the time the front truck stays the same, but with the ones you're looking at I think that they moved the front trucks in by using the holes closest to the center and making those the outter most ones.
You don't "have to" move the trucks at all, if you don't want to. If I were you I'd first leave the mounting holes the same and see how you like it, just chop off the tail. And if you don't go ahead and move the back/front truck and chop it some more. You can always subtract wood but you can't really add more if you don't like it.

I really want a short wheelbase. Maybe Around 36" total length with the trucks mounted at the very end. Kinda like the Voodoo Doll I guess cause Ima use this board mainly as a free-rider. Question is, can I completely remove the rear mounting holes and just make new ones meaning I chop 10" all from the back or is it better to chop 5" in the front and 5" in the back.

What does chopping necessarily do for this deck?

gets rid of the useless tail, makes it a little stiffer, and shortens the wheelbase.

I see, so it's pretty much just cutting the tail off and making new mounting holes?

Yup. I'm a pretty short guy so the extra room including the tail is useless to me. And from my understanding, shorter boards are more nimble.

I believe all the decks in that picture are race decks except for the Wefunk. different nose.

Leave your front trucks alone, there is nowhere to move them to get more deck space....
If you wish to mod the nose, have at it!

Hey brute. So those are actually sector 9 race decks and not bomb hills? hahaha the graphics deceived me. Anyway I've decided to keep the nose, maybe just round it a little but I'm not making any major changes. I'd be chopping the whole 10" from the back, I hope I don't screw this up. Finding the center alone is hard for me haha.

Quick question. These are all the same decks right? Just different graphics?

Saw evran ozan shredding on the blue one in the center a few days ago. He chopped the tail and wheelbase seemed shorter. anyone try this set up yet?

    Correct, all the same deck.

The race decks have had the same similar graphics in the past.

Most chops tend to move the wheelbase to around 27-30" and chop off the remaining tail.

Here is a thread showing various chops on different decks.
