Default Need suggestions for bamboo longboard!

I've been browsing around and am looking for something drop through mounted, ~36-44" ideal for long distances, and DH runs. The Lush Kilima here looks sharp, any suggestions?

Not a huge fan of sector 9 decks, but I'm always curious. Is it a complete setup? If so, specs? photos? price?

I had a lush bamboo. It's a good board but I ended up selling it because I'm not a big fan of the way drop thru's ride. It's a sweet deck though. They are however a bit fragile so beware.

lush has a two year warrenty if you break it you get a new one no questions asked
aka I advise buying a lush i got a Bahari and I have loved every second of riding it. and i havn't heard very many bad things about the kilima so i would assume it too is a very quality board if you got the cash

Th S9 bamboo looks very good. Get the deck only and set it up to you're liking
Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

    Wear a helmet.....please.

I've tried the other bamboo board from Lush and the board was really nice. Felt like something in between a vanguard bamboo and a flexy maple board.

Well, here's one that hasn't been discussed a lot lately, due to the influence of slalomizing, but Longboards by Fatboy might really be worth a look. V-lam-boo.

i agree with basil longboards by fatboy is my pick, and the s9 bamboo pins actually really nice, it has a W-Concave wich feels really nice and is definatly the cheapest.

If you don't have a lot of $$$, the S9's are excellent boards (the bamboo pin is a great riding deck). If you can swing the $$$, and you want a flexible carver/pumper, the Loaded Vanguard (or even Pintail) is sweet.

take it with a grain of salt if you like. I ride for s9 so I'm obviously a bit biased.
i'd only ridden very quickly the s9 bamboo pin and never requested one from my sponsor.
last weekend with a bunch of friends we played a game called the 'punition'.

the setting: a 7 km pass, pretty narrow road and a bunch of hairpins, not too steep.
the rules: no foot braking allowed, no rail grabbing or hands on the pavement allowed (except in case of emergency, cars coming up, whatever).
the goal: the last one down the hill wins, so you gotta carve your way down and throw some stand up slides too to loose speed.

a friend of mine brought a stock bamboo pin, what a ride for this game, the flex and wheelbase make it perfect for hard carving, the little bump under the back foot allows great control of the board while carving, even on the steepest sections where we'd gain speed.

it was setup with gulwing alpines and 70mm bamboo series wheels.
since then I also tried the intermediate fish tail bamboo board and its a great carver, city commutter.

hope it helps you in your quest for nice bamboo boards
