Re: Kracked Skulls
Mine should hopefully be here sometime this week although I'm not sure if it will make it with July 1 and 4 both landing this week (Canada Day and Independence Day).

Re: Kracked Skulls

Re: Kracked Skulls
a 40" Scimitar? nice! be sure to tell us how it is, and post some pictures. I was going to go for a custom 42" Scimitar, but ended up getting the 46" instead. after riding a 38" it kind of makes me wonder though...

Re: Kracked Skulls
do you guys think that i should grip it with tape or try and grip it with the sand?
This is my first longboard (and i'm not even sure how to assemble it, but i ll figure it out) and i dont want to ruin the flex with griptape but i dont know if i will be able to get sand on the board.
Thanks

Especially because of your inexperience, use some good griptape. Instead of trying to do the sand bit--try your hand at a grip tape design.
Lay it on in strips, or just where you feel your feet belong. Keep it Simple. You can redo griptape much easier than redoing a silica sand job.
Just remember to stick with black. I recommend getting the perforated kind. It has holes in it that are more or less invisible when
applied, but do two helpful things for you. It gives you a grid to design with, and it makes getting out air bubbles a non-issue.
Wrinkles on the other hand....

William will apply the sand and poly to your board when you order it for an additional $10, I believe that's what he was asking about.

Re: Kracked Skulls
I spoke to William this evening. He indicated to me that the scimtar design is no longer in flux. He's happy with it. I ordered one, a 46". My first longboard. First skateboard in about 20 years! I haven't ridden since 1990. That was a little board for 1/2 pipe and riding to college classes.
BTW, this is my first post. During the winter I ride a Donek Axxess as a carving board.

FAST SHIPPING! damn..even with the Canada Customs Border Nazis delays i still got the deck in lsss than 6 days from William. Thats a new record for stuff from the states, normnally i wait about 2 weeks minimum to 2 months in several cases. (car parts, longboarding stuff, ebay etc)
built er up, went for a ride. Very nice. Excellent attention to detail in the construction, excellent finish, excellent graphics. All round nice ride
Thanks William, and let me know when the trailers are up for grabs!

Re: Kracked Skulls
I juiced up my kracked skull, I put some bones swiss bearings in it and replaced the bushings and it's better than ever!, I def reccomend putting bones swiss bearings on your KS, this board has been really good to me i've had it since early spring.
