Re: Kracked Skulls
hey i didn't have time to read through all 62 pages of this thread, but i was hoping someone could suggest some wheels for my M1. I've had it for about 3/4 of a year and have been using the 77m 78a strikers. i'm looking for something that slides better, but can also handle carving.
so i've been looking at the 83a retro freerides, which i know would work because they're offered on krackedskulls.com. someone suggested the orangatang line, but william thinks they will get wheelbite because they are not side-set...can anyone confirm this?
and while i'm at it, i want to get new bushings...i've been using the stock red randals ever since i got it, and i want something that's good for carving.

How did you manage to ride 77 mm wheels on the M1? I thought 72 was the limit...

the strikers are an exception...they are completely side set and have very round edges. i got them because of their size (when i didn't know anything about duro and whatnot), but unfortunately i'm not very happy with them
ok well on the orangatang site, it says the wheels are side-set, but to what degree i don't know. it would be great to get the 75mm Durians, but again anything over 72mm is pushing it...then there's the 65mm Fat Frees, which would definitely fit, but i'm reluctant to get wheels that small

Re: Kracked Skulls
Alright, I just ordered a 42 inch Scimitar with black Randals and Lime BigZigs. I can't wait.
Also, due to the holiday and me living in PA, do you think it'll get here within a week? I heard he ships fast but 2-3 days seem to good to be true.
This is my second longboard after a Sector 9 Cosmic. Lets hope it's a sweet ride.

I'm no expert but you asked so I will try to help.
It's all commitment and practice. Bend your knees and throw it around. Also it's often easier to learn backside first, even thought frontside seems easier. Loose trucks also help a lot for me. Hope I could help!

Re: Kracked Skulls
What's the deal on the durability of the Scimitar?
Also, will Indy 169s work on a 40" Sciimitar as drop-thru trucks?
Oh, and how's the dead-flex on the board. Is it as bad as a deverish/vanguard's?
One more thing, are Scimitars drilled for old school or new school mounting?

Re: Kracked Skulls
does anyone know the status of the bolt? i saw an advance board that looked sick, but i haven't heard anything about a release yet
How do you do, young Willie McBride,
Do you mind if I sit here, by your grave side
And rest for a while in the warm summer sun,
I've been walking all day and I'm nearly done
I see by your grave stone your were only nineteen,
When joined the great fallen in 1915
I hope you died well and I hope you died clean,
Or Willie McBride was it slow and obscene?

Tank-Like. Scimmis are beasts.
Too thin of a truck, they're not really 169mm wide.
Pretty stiff, NOTHING like a loaded at all.
Not sure.
