Need a holiday board
Alright, my parents bought a house in the states, (south georgia) about 45 minutes from jacksonville florida.
I've got a brodie board
(terrible description i know, i was drunk) anyway! thats the board i use back home, and i'm going over to the states for two weeks, i was wanting to buy a board to have over there, judging from the family movies my parents made last year, there's a ton of potential in the roads surrounding the house and heading downtown.
And i have no idea where i'm going to be able to buy a board while over there, i'm looking to spend about $175 approx, a used board would be ideal for me really, something i can slap bones reds in for a quick fix of speed =]
Basically i have no idea where to start looking.

Re: Need a holiday board
buy something swanky and new online and get it shipped to your swanky new house!
you can get some crazy setups for crazy prices in the states.
also, check the buy and sell on this forum, people seem to sell barely used gear at really low prices.
hope that helps a little.

Bearings mean hardly anything for speed, and to tell you the truth Bones Reds aren't the greatest of bearings.

Re: Need a holiday board
i'll probably take my gumballs over, saw some randals cheap cheap, everythings cheap cheap, i mean bones reds (even if you don't rate them) are half price because of the rate. the only thing i'm having trouble on is a deck, cheap deck?

Re: Need a holiday board
not "cheap" but if you're saving so much go for lonboardlarry.net
send him an email, he'll make you something lovely.
it'll be in the states waiting for you when you are.
otherwise check out the specials on some of the major us retailers.

what ARE the major US retailers?

Re: Need a holiday board
well, there are a few adverts on this site (at the bottom of this page ).
milehighskates
gearguys
tailtap
longboardstore
daddiesboardshop
purpleskunk
... and more...
but if you're having it shipped in the us it'd be worth looking at all the brands sites as they sometimes have specials too.
do a search on google. you're bound to find something smashing.
good luck!

Re: Need a holiday board
Look out for sites that require your billing address be identical to your shipping address as a security measure; calling them could help your situation. I second looking through the buy/sell forum.
