    carving is just a moderate speed (usually about jogging pace) slow, gentle turn...you just kinda go back and forth, back and forth...usually done with loose trucks so you can really dig into the corners. oh, and it's usually a quite sharp turn too...sometimes it's used to scrub off speed...
    yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

    Its definatly done at a faster pace then jogging, if I'm going jogging pace then I'm gonna start pumping. Carving is like snowboarding on concrete, basically traversing down the hill by making tons of sometimes quick, sometimes mello wide turns, It can be used to slow down, or just another way to ride your board.

    Kaysee Jordan,

    Carving is a way of getting down a hill slowly. Picture making an S down a hill until you get to the bottom. If you want a video check youtube and search 'longboarding carving'.

    i made that awhile ago

    btw made all the corners into nice easy turns no need to make robotic turns! i just suck at paint
