Slalom Deck with Skyhooks, good commuter?
Hey there.
I was thinking of getting myself a relativly flexy, 27" slalom deck with skyhooks. ive never dealt with skyhooks OR slalom decks and have no way to try before i buy. do you think this setup would work well as an urban commute? or do the skyhooks get in the way and destroy the pumpability of the board? id imagine it to be perfect for my needs. small, light, highly pumpable and the ability to jump over urban obstacles. what do you think?

why don't you buy a normal skateboard, or go ahead and get the crazy ass 27" deck with skyhooks so i will have another reason to laugh when i see you going down the street
"i love the power glove.. it's so bad"

Re: Slalom Deck with Skyhooks, good commuter?
thats not necessarily true on a longer board (or rather, a board with a longer wheelbase, assuming you mount them on top of the trucks). but on a 27 incher, yeah, they would #### with your push, and maybe even pump. just get something with a tail and learn to ollie/boneless.

take it from someone who knows (i actually do have skyhooks) they're really not as fun as you'd think, without the correct setup. a 27in slalom board =/= not the right setup. 32 is getting a bit closer to the sweet spot.

skyhooks are only about 30$. if i dont like them, i can still take them off. i really think that id enjoy this type of board, even without the hooks!
