i really need some recommendations now for a longboard $150 or under
after the sector 9 thread i started now im even more confused! i dont even care what company anymore. here are the things i want in a longboard that is $150 or lower:
fast: a board that is pretty fast and to get at a good speed u dont need to push more than 3 times.
light board: i dont like really heavy boards that u have to drag it around everywhere that isnt skateable. but if there isnt any boards that fit these requirements that arent light, dont worry about it.
smooth and quiet: i used to have a skateboard and wenever i skated it or any of my friends skateboards they were loud, and always felt so bumpy. whenever i stepped off the board, my feet were still vibrating like crazy and i d that so much.
those were my requirements for a board thats lower than $150. a light board isnt my most important requirement, its mainly smooth and quiet. plz help me find a board that fits these requirements, cuz i really want an awesome good priced longboarding experience!!!

a sector 9 board
its 10 dollars more than what you want. but this will serve you beautifully even as you get better for pretty much every kind of riding.

some of the s9 boards that i like are the goddess of speed and the bomhills that a lot of people have
although i would go with mac daddy and do kracked skulls , big zigs and randals! not to expensive and its different then what a lot of people have. it is a little heavier though.

I would go for a kracked skulls. I have heard nothing but good things about them and they are very very affordable.

loud, and always felt so bumpy. whenever i stepped off the board, my feet were still vibrating like crazy
Most likely caused by shorter wheelbase and small hard wheels. Solution is larger (70mm-83mm) and softer duro wheels (75a-84a). Soft risers as opposed to hard plastic risers can also make a difference.
Lightness will cost money. A longboard will generally have more material as the deck is larger = more weight. Fiberglass, carbon fiber, and bamboo are popular materials for saving weight in addition to other properties they may have (torsional stiffness etc.).
Speed and stability are mostly defined by a riders ability and experience. That being said wider trucks can offer more stability (180mm are a popular longboard size). Trucks w/wheels should typically be approx as wide as the widest part of the board or slightly wider. Preferences differ.
Furthest glide per push will mostly depend on cleaned/lubed bearings. Wheels will play a role here too. There is belief that longer wheelbase contributes to this ( I don't understand the physics)
I own the Sector 9 GOS, Kracked Skulls M1 & Earthwing Superglider. All good reccomendations. I have had all boards at 30mph+, fear, rider ability/experience have been the limiting factors not the equipment.

milehighskates has a gravity hypercarve that's 119.95 plus shipping. My friend got it and he loves it. Even though the hardware might not be the best, it's still a really good first board

The Hyper is way bigger than the Roundhouse. Sort of apples to oranges. Are you just looking at price?

i started on a s9 cosmic9, which they call the cosmic 1 now. its 4ply maple and 2 fiberglass so its pretty light, good flex so it soaks up bumps also making it quiet, though any longboard with low to mid duro wheels will be quiet. i think its 160, but i still use it. i have it set up with randal dh and 180 hangars with goddess of speed wheels, front and back dewedged, i use it for garages.
