slide issue
Hello,
This has probably been asked a lot, but I'm having trouble getting my board to slide heel side. I just turn really sharp while sliding on my glove. I'm riding a 33" Z-Flex Jay Adams board with Independant trucks and Abec 11 No Skoolz. I'm pretty new to this, and I might just not be committing enough or not going fast enough. Any ideas?

I think your thoughts are correct. You just need to go a little faster and commit more. If that doesn't work try more weight on you hand

unweight the board by putting more weight on your glove. force your board to slide.

Go faster.
Turn your torso.
Weight on the hands, weight off the board.
And show us a video when you get it down!

Re: slide issue
Hey are you riding the JA Classic? I have that deck too. I found it a lot easier to slide when I picked up a 38" Earthwing Drifter, maybe because it is easier to free up one end of the deck when it is longer. Plus, I needed a longer length so I could atcually crouch lower and get my center of grvity lower over the deck and then slide it off when I shift to my sliding hand(s). I don't know about the No Skoolz, but the Earthwing Slide A Superballs are incredible wheels for sliding. Of course, speed is helpful as well, so get on some pads and get fearless. Let us know what helps, I'd be interested!

more weight on your hand, and go faster. if you are having trouble getting it to break out, ITS YOU NOT THE BOARD. If you find you are getting thrown/highsided all the time, or its getting away from you, or rolling over, or jumping around, or basically anything else that constitutes uneven drifting, then it might be the equipment.

Yeah, it's the JA classic. I've had the board for about four or five years, mostly for cruising and pools and getting thrown from at high speed. I like it, and it's taken a beating.
