    Default Street Skate Board?

After trying to learn how to ollie on my 9" slide deck, I think its time for me to move on to a more "traditional" street skate board. I do have a 7.5" deck but find it too narrow for my liking. I really just want a deck to get my ollies down and maybe learn popshuvit and maybe kickflips. Hopefully in time I want to take it to the park and work the bowls as well. What would be a good size width for a board? Im thinking somewhere between 8"- 8.5"? I was planning on just getting a blank deck as i dont want to spend to much money.

Btw, is it me or is the pop on boards like th sy32 and the earthwing boards with the fiber/earth glass bottoms feel a bit dead?

    Thanks

this is prolly wrong but i dont think you should be asking advice for normal skateboards since the name of this forum is Longboarding Resources & Q/A

try creature boards. they make alot of popsicle shaped boards, but wider then all the other companies, or black label, darkstar. i think 8.25 should feel good.

    and about EW boards........
they claim there boards have insane pop and last long
    GZA's got my back.

although i do agree with you on the graphics standpoint..... there are a few differences between companies and the way the board pops and feels. creatures feel awesome underfoot, and if you really want to, check out s9's deep end series. the shorter of that series feels really really great in the park, and it has MAJOR pop. i'm currently riding a rm33, s9 checkered, and just retired a creature ghost rider
