Board got ripped off need to build a new one
Okay, so my board got stolen here at college and I need to build myself another one cuz I'm addicted and can't go a day or two without riding from class to class.
I want to build a mid size board. I already have some trucks off of a short board that I used to skate about 4-5 years back. So I'm going to need some wheels, the deck itself, and some bearings.
I know that I will want to get speedy lunatics abec 7's based on the price, but I am still up in the air about the actual deck and wheels.
What should I be looking at? I saw something like this http://www.milehighskates.com/catalo...oducts_id=1710 but I am worried about it being 6 ply since I am 6' 2'' 190.
Also I actually like the look and design of these type of boards
Mile High Skates
although I am clueless as to the advantage of purpose of the board being constructed like that. I also believe that my older trucks would not mount properly on that type of board.
So all in all recommend me some midsize decks and some wheels here. Keep in mind I used to use my super long sector 9 to skate to class with hard duro retro Zig Zags so I could get it to slide out a little here and there. Overall a shorter board would be better around here for cutting corners and just managing overall I feel.

Earthwing Superglider. Midsize, fairly stiff flex, small for those cornerings you want, and good all around. Milehigh's got a good price on them, too.

Do not worry about that cruzer breaking, from what I hear, they're tanks.
I'd also suggest the superglider. Pretty small, awesome ride, will stand up to your weight no problem

Whats your budget? A Kracked Skulls may be ideal, although a bit long. I believe you can email William and get him to make you a deck as short as 38". A complete M1 is only about $120 plus shipping and has some nice components. Like I said though, the length may be an issue, but otherwise its a DAMN good value especially if you're strapped for cash. They are kinda flexy (I'm 6'1, 180) and so with soft wheels you can roll over most of the terrain you encounter. Feels very comfortable on long cruises, and low to the ground so it's easy to push.

Lol, stringtheory. For a minute, I thought the first part of your post was talking about the Glider and Kracked Skulls.

There are endless choices for what you want, but I would suggest a Kracked Skulls Scimitar.

earthwing supercharger or superglider
Mile High Skates
i personally would love to have this board for myself, the flex is minimal, but its there, it seems like really well-constructed and strong deck. i wouldnt worry about it breaking under anyone's weight
when in doubt...81a flashbacks

if you're rocking some short board trucks, make sure you throw in some soft bushings, and then i say go for a rayne timeline, or a landyachtz mummy and use some angled risers to really open those trucks up for turning.

I sent out an email to check what Kracked Skulls says about pricing on the Scimitar.
