    Default Wedge/Dewedge

Ok so i'm getting my Ranye Timline deck in a while (my third board, along with dervish and 60' hommade dancer) and i was wondering if i should wedge or dewedge the trucks. i have randal 180s. correct me if i'm wrong, dewedging is with the fatter part of the risers facing out, and weding is with the thinner part of the risers facing out. im loooking for a really turny, carvy ride, but i still want to maintain some stability
    thanks
    dan

    From the Randal Truck FAQ:

Wedge/dewedge is the third one down. Top is wedge/wedge. Etc.

actually the opposite, that chart shows an increasing turn radius as you go down, and turning radius has to do with how tight of a circle you can turn in. If your turn radius increases it means you can't turn as tight/sharp/whatever you want to call it

proper wedge/de-wedge would be both fat parts facing the rear of the board. so skinny side out on front, fat side out on the back.

    Geh, learn to read steve....

I too highly recommend both sharp sides forward.
Unless you regularly expect the board to be going backwards...

Nah. That + means bigger turning radius = less turny. You had it right originally. Sorry about that.

For turniest, go with both ends wedged (the top pic, thin sides out). For a good blend of turny and stable, go wedge/dewedge (the third, both thin sides forwards).

I used to ride wedge/wedge a lot. It's fun, but can be sketchy on steeper hills if you're not carving it pretty hard. These days, I'm running flat all around. Different strokes...
