Regripping a loaded deck?
I have a Dervish (brand new) and I dont like the grip on it. It no where ner as grippy as I would like a garage board/ fast carver to be. Ive acually fallen because my front foot shifted while carving hard.
I want to regrip it. Do I need to sand down the original fgrip first? If so, what is the best way to do this without power tools? (I plan on using Jessup or Edger grip which from my experience have some strong adhesive.)

Just sand it down with some medium grit sandpaper untill smooth. Make sure you don't sand the fibreglass though. Then lay the grip like you normally would

Thanks Doc.
Has anyone tried gripping one without sanding it down?

yes. i did not sand the one in my sig and it works fine. also, DO NOT lay the grip as you normally would! when you flex the board the grip will wrinkle and screw up the flex pretty bad.

So, then just leave some space inbetween piece or tape then? Like a hounds tooth pattern, to prevent the wrinkling?
