    Default Loaded Pintail?

Im looking for a board thats smooth, good for carving and can hold for a little downhill.
I was looking at The pintail and it looked pretty nice. But im not sure if it will fit my needs.
    Will it?

don't even dare get a pintail if you think you want to do some downhill. The flex and 150 trucks would spell disaster for downhill. I have one myself and i love it for carvin and cruising around and it is a very nice board.

If you're looking for something to get up to speed with from time to time though I'd look for something a bit stiffer and definitely with wider trucks. I mean if you like loaded the dervish may suit you well with the dropped platform and 180 trucks.

There are a lot of "all around" boards to consider. Earthwing Supercharger is certainly cheaper and very good quality. But a Loaded will have more flex. If it's your first longboard, I say buy something cheaper.

    ya...i like pintails
my first board was the sector9 bamboo pin
    ive hit 35 on that
but its also sweet because of the flex cuz its super comfy to cruise on and it works well for carving and pumping too
my friend just got the loaded pin a few days ago but i still have yet to ride it

If you already had a flexy pintail why would you get the exact same thing? Try something different. Drop throughs are rad, and the Dervish is a popular choice. If it's too expensive, look at a Kracked Skulls. Very similar but much less expensive. Either that or something from Earthwing.

there's also the gravity hypercarve. just throwing it out there.
but the dervish is very nice, but very flexy. It carves well and pretty good to pump.
there's also the vanguard. less stable than the dervish though, but imho a better carver/pumper.
