Mostly I look at what the design offers.
I guess I'm a little swayed by what the really good guys are using, but I try to make an educated decision.
I don't buy much gear, so i like to be sure.

basically I look at what I've got, how it could be better for what I want the part for, then try and find it in the market.

    It's gotta have surf-inspired graphics!

Companies that I sell must continually improve and innovate across their line. Just because they have a good wheel, for example, doesn't mean I'm going to automatically stock their decks. They also have to provide healthy margins, and not under-cut me if they sell direct. My customers expect best-of-breed customer service, and I expect the very same from my suppliers.

I like to buy from companies who offer something different, which can be hard because every company looks to differentiate itself. I still want to buy a Never Summer board to cruise around on. I like their decks, they take beatings and keep ticking.

I bought Originals after reading all the talk about the FEEL of the ride. People recommending all the other trucks say they're "they best", or they do X better than any other truck, or they're what Mr. X uses. I'm a gear-head, and I dig all the technical talk about truck angles and hangar construction, but a guarantee of a fun ride trumps all of that. Bring on the stoke!

Deck-wise, right now I'm lusting after the Roggs dancing boards, and it's purely a looks thing. Damn, those are pretty.

When it comes to wheels, it's all in the specs. I don't care how it looks, I just want it to fit and to work well.

If I were looking for a serious racer, then I'd put more weight into the technical stuff when looking at the deck and board.

Why are you reading my sig? It's boring.
