Advantages and disadvantages of nose width
Been thinking about this lately. What is the advantage of having a smaller nose, more leverage? I can understand wanting more foot room, but if that wasn't all that necessary. Less adjustment between heelside and toeside turns maybe. Could just be personal preference.

Narrower nose= less leverage
Wider nose= more leverage
Wider nose = more foot room
Narrower nose=less foot room
Nothing at all to do with toeside to heelside balance or adjustment either wider or narrower unless you have an asymetrical deck.
Narrower could be quicker toeside to heelside but the trucks width and looseness and wheels all play into that as well.
Deck width versus performance is also completely dependent on what trucks and wheels and bushing you mate them with.

also,
wider=more wheelbite
smaller=less wheelbite, but possible footbite
agree with the foot placement thing...my bud has a bustin complex and it's super comfy to have your foot right up at the very front, but he's wheelbit a lot for how long he's had the board. i still haven't had bite with my superglider, and that's not even a super narrow or cutout nose. however, it's slim, and it's a huge difference between that and the pie plate nose of the complex
Don't waste your life...
