its big...I have riden an KS M1 in that length, and ordered a KS Scimitar in that length...
How big is this 13 year old...many are much taller than I who is only 5'5"...
Most though would tell you to get the 42"...but I love a longer wheelbase so I went with the longer one.

I'm 5' 9" and my 44 feels gigantic. Get the 38 or the 40, depending on your shoe size.

I like the 46" personally. Lots of room to spread my feet out. BUT it makes it kind of difficult to travel/take into places you skated to. It depends what you're looking for, really.

Yeah, my first real board was a Hypercarve47, so I am really used to having a longer wheelbase. I like my wife's Dervish but always feel a but cramped on it...though I am very short.

he said its 40 or 42 he didn't remember. I would go for a 42 and even the 42 gets squirrely at some sort of speed. You'll grow into it =) How tall are oyu btw?

I have the 38" and I'm about 6'4". I got it short for riding around campus. With the shorter wheel base it can turn pretty sharply and is very responsive. I've been able to carve, bomb, and slide on it with out much trouble. It has gotten a little wobbly around 35 mph but I haven't taken it beyond that.

I don't necessarily feel cramped on the 38. There is room enough for me to walk around a little on it. If you are looking to do any cross-stepping or other board walking type tricks I would reccomend a longer board. I'll probably be getting a longer board soon just to explore other disciplines.

the 40 will look the same as the 38,42 whatever length, unless it's next to something else. I'd say go 38 or 40. It depends on what your looking to do, are you looking to dance and have a lot of moving around room or a little more compact but easier to move around/carry? I'd say 38-40-42, whatever you get you'll like, it's only 2 inches it's not a big deal. Keep in mind the kracked skulls do get skinnier with the shorter lengths.

I'm 5'6", 110lbs, and I have the 46". The 46" is great for carving and cruising, and the M1 is also great for bombing.

It's not too big for a 13 year old. Still I would prefer a shorter one, around 40" be good.

Took about 2 weeks to get to my house. Also with the 46" it is easier to cross step or do any other dancing moves.
