    Default Another newbie!

    Hey guys,

I'm totally new at this longboarding thing (well... I used to skateboard back in ninth grade, and not even that much) and I've been looking to get a board. Not 100% sure on the riding styles I'd be doing, but mostly campus cruising/carving, maybe some basic sliding (nothing too crazy or technical).

I don't plan on doing any huge hill bombing, although I've yet to try it 8)

Is it possible to get a board set-up for what I'm looking for, or do the styles conflict? Since I don't plan on really doing tech sliding or intense DHing, I'm thinking a carving set-up should be okay?

I was looking at the Earthwing Superglider 38" on Daddiesboardshop, with Paris 180mm trucks and Powell Bones Reds bearings. One of my friends is a longboarder and he says that these are pretty good components, but I'd thought I'd get more opinions.

I was also looking at the Kracked Skulls M1 40" (not much variation in the parts though).

Which board is a better deal/better board? Are the components I chose "good?"

Also, I'm pretty short (5'5" or thereabouts), so would there be a certain sized board that would be best for me?

Thanks for putting up with all the questions

well you might be a newbie, but atleast u have done some research.
of those two i'd go the superglider. however you might prefer going for something bigger as it would be a better allrounder
EarthWing Supercharger - same board but bigger basically.
mile high mark has all his completes set-up on ideal trucks and wheels for the board, so i would trust that set-up. otherwise get randal 180's and keep that size of wheel (wheel bite on big wheels for that board).
