hey guys what do u think of the new firefly i was thinking about getting it but i wanna know if any one has tried the only one and what they think about it.
if you can get last years it is alot better because you can get your foot right over the truck and that is a big bonus, but the new firefly is set back a little more, so you cannot be as far forward, but you are less likely to get wheelbite,
i like the new design and it is goign t ride similar to the old one, without the foot placement.
one of the best topmounts i have ever ridden

I have ridden it, haven't taken it down at speeds, but I liked how it felt under my feet. The concave is much improved over the previous flat-cave, it rides pretty low while still having good leverage on the trucks. I agree with N88, I don't like not being able to put my feet over the trucks, but that is personal preference. overall a pretty sick board with comfortable platform space and responsive feel.

actually, the difference is probably about 1/2 inch. Unless your foot is completely straight across the board. It really doesn't make much of a difference. Im a pretty big advocate of top mounts and having your foot close the front truck and this was a great compromise in order to have your board a little lower and have less chance of wheelbite.
Anyways, the older style is still available and the new one is still in prototyping process and isnt available yet.

Shane, it isn't available yet? He posted it on the website... what is he going to do when the orders start coming?
